Allen landed in the NW in 1986 and was immediately struck by our region’s natural beauty and by the way its cities and towns coexist well—compared to where he grew up on the east coast—within it. Deeply interested in topics ranging from green energy to transportation planning, from geology to economics, he’s a generalist by nature and enjoys applying his diverse experience to problem solving.
Professionally, he’s worked with non-profits for almost 30 years, both in the US and in Europe and Asia. Primarily he helps his clients choose, develop, and use information management systems. When time permits, he enjoys backcountry biking, hiking, and camping year-round.
